Mingachevir schoolchildren, supported by the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS, once again won the international project competition

On November 26, 2021 in Izmir, Turkey, an online ceremony of awarding the winners of the BUCA IMSEF-2021 International Science Competition was held. A student of the Mingachevir Natural-Mathematical and Humanitarian Lyceum Hasanly Rasul Zaur oglu and a student of the secondary school No.16 named after Samed Vurgun Musayev Taleh Valeh oglu, whose scientific supervisor was the executive director of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Afsun Sujayev, at the stage of selection of 167 projects from 27 countries of the world reached the final and were awarded a bronze medal for the presentation of an innovative chemistry project.

It should be noted that the main goal of the second international competition BUCA IMSEF is to increase the level of interest of high school students in scientific and technological research, to contribute to the development of young people as individuals, to unite young people of the same age group from all over the world, to exchange information in the field of science and culture, to create conditions for participation in youth competitions abroad, to broaden their horizons and express their opinions on an international platform, to identify children with musical talents and support their development in this area.

Supporting talented young professionals from school age who can find solutions to problematic issues through scientific research related to ecology, health, energy, technology at the national and international levels, as well as the development of projects, apply their knowledge, research and benefit from information technology is part of the mission of this competition.

It should be noted that this is the second time that Secondary School No.16 named after Samed Vurgun in Mingachevir has adequately represented Azerbaijani education at the international level, participating in an international competition for schoolchildren and achieving great success.

Note that in 2020, a student of the school, Raya Hasanli, was awarded a silver medal of the international project competition BUCA IMSEF-2020 for her project “From Waste to Miracle”.
