Nobel week began today in Sweden.
First, the Swedish Karolinska Institute announced the names of the 2023 Nobel Prize winners in Physiology and Medicine. The Nobel Assembly of the Karolinska Institute has decided to jointly award the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine to the American scientists Catalin Carrico and Drew Weissman for their discovery “Modification of nucleoside bases that allows the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.”
It should be noted that the award ceremony will take place on December 10 in the capitals of Sweden and Norway, on the birthday of Alfred Nobel.
