The National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS) has begun the process of improving the structure and optimization of management. Thus, in the direction of forming the composition of the Presidium of ANAS, the positions of the first vice president were abolished, and only one vice president position was established. Academician Dilgam Tagiyev was elected as the first vice-president of ANAS, academicians Isa Habibbeyli and Ibrahim Guliyev – vice-presidents of ANAS. At the same time, academician Vagif Farzaliev was elected a chairman of the Scientific Council of the Department of Chemical Sciences of ANAS. At the same time, it was noted that a new draft resolution was prepared by order of the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev and discussed at the last meeting of the Presidium of ANAS. The draft resolution provided for appropriate decisions to optimize the management of the Presidium of ANAS, as well as scientific institutions and organizations. Thus, it was decided to establish positions of general director and executive director of institutes, chief engineers at enterprises with large-sized and specialized equipment, as well as application manager at scientific enterprises for mobile applying the innovative potential of scientific results in the field of social activities and production.
