Scientists have proven coffee ability to reduce risk of death

British scientists find out that coffee reduces the risk of developing chronic liver diseases. Specialists also proved the ability of the drink to reduce the likelihood of death in such cases, reports The Guardian.

Researchers analyzed data 494,585 participants in the British Bobank – a project aimed at finding genetic factors and environmental factors. The experiment participated volunteers from 40 to 69 years. Most of them confessed to the love of coffee (384,818 people), and the rest said that they drank coffee (109,767 people).

Specialists studied the liver condition of participants over the past 11 years, fixing 3600 cases of chronic liver disease, 301 fatal outcome and 1839 cases of liver disease. Researchers also took into account factors such as the body mass index of participants, alcohol consumption and smoking status.

As a result of analysis, scientists found out that eating any varieties risked to acquire chronic liver disease or liver fatty 20 percent less. In addition, at adherents of coffee, the risk of death from these reasons was 49 percent than another group.

“In a large sample in the UK, it is proved that the use of coffee protects against severe liver diseases,” said Professor Paul Roderick and co-author of research from Southampton University. As a result of work, scientists suggested that the coffee serves as an effective means in the struggle for the health of the liver.

Previously, the nutritionist called the perfect time for coffee. According to the specialist, the drink is best to use between the main meals. Such an approach will help preserve not only the useful properties of coffee, but also the mineral balance in the body.
