Today, within the framework of the joint participation of the Territorial Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists and the Trade Union Organization of Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an event dedicated to the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held.
Honoring the memory of the historical figure with a minute of silence, the director general of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev, who delivered an opening speech, noted that the brilliant leader Heydar Aliyev was the greatest historical figure brought up by the Azerbaijani people: “Over time, we feel more and more of its greatness. He consciously devoted his whole life to our people and saved our country as a whole from troubles.” V.Farzaliyev stressed that the national leader, who for the second time took over the leadership of the country at the insistence of the people, prevented the disintegration of our country: “De facto, the country was in a fragmented state. “The economy was in crisis, chaos reigned in the army, most of the territories were occupied. But H.Aliyev did not lose faith in tomorrow. Excerpts from his speeches are often shown on television. Look how he hopefully says that the time will come when everything the occupied lands will be liberated, the economy will be revived, we will have a strong army and Azerbaijan will be known to the world. In the literal sense of the word, his worthy follower fulfilled the will of the great personality, Azerbaijan shone like the sun to the world.”
Then the member of the board of the New Azerbaijan Party, the executive director of the institute, doctor of chemical sciences Afsun Sujayev, in his speech noted that independent Azerbaijan is the masterpiece of the national leader Heydar Aliyev: “His heart always beat with Azerbaijan. His far-sighted policy brought the country facing threat of loss of independence, from liberation to progress, and his worthy successor, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, led our country from progress to the Great Victory.”
Leading Researcher of the Institute, Ph.D. Nusrat Aliyev spoke about the memorable visit of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Institute of Chemistry of Additives as the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan in the Soviet era.
According to him, at that time he met with the heads of research institutes nominated for the election of the President of the Academy of Sciences: “One of the scientists nominated for the post of President of the Academy of Sciences was Academician Ali Guliyev. That’s why he came to us at the Institute. He personally visited the laboratory where I worked and talked with young scientists. He was such a simple man that he even extended his hand to the cleaner in the hall when met her, he was in a good mood.”
The chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute, Gunay Ismayilova, also spoke at the event.
