Reporting sessions were held on the results of scientific and organizational activities of laboratories and departments operating at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2023.
The director general of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev, said that this year, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev, was a year of certain achievements in the scientific activities of the institution: “This achievement is obtaining significant fundamental and applied results, publication in classified Q2-Q4 journals with a high impact factor, archived in prestigious international databases, further expansion of international cooperation ties, training of highly qualified personnel, integration of science and education, popularization of science and encouragement and involvement of youth in science and other areas.”
After this, the heads of the laboratories made presentations in accordance with the action plan for 2023 and the priority areas of the laboratories they headed, specific scientific research carried out during the reporting period, the results obtained and their reflection in various articles, patents and conference materials, the training of highly qualified personnel, they provided relevant information, their proposals and recommendations on priority issues, problems and ways to solve them.
Executive Director of the Institute Doctor of Chemical Sciences Afsun Sujayev, scientific secretary of Ph.D. Mehpara Safarova, head of the laboratory, prof.Hagigat Javadova, Ph.D. Oruj Nabiyev, head of the laboratory, prof.Parvin Mammadova and others exchanged views on the issues discussed.
Summarizing the reports, Academician V.Farzaliyev considered the work done acceptable, but noted the need to fully mobilize the existing potential of laboratories and material and technical facilities in order to further improve the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the work being carried out and scientific research. He considered it important to pay attention to areas of further increasing the efficiency of scientific activity at the institute, coordinating fundamental and applied research conducted in other scientific institutions and universities of the country, ensuring the application of their results in socio-economic and other spheres, as well as the correct use of scientific personnel in next year, gave the necessary recommendations.
