Yesterday at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS there was held an online seminar dedicated to the 880th anniversary of the birth of Nizami Ganjavi, an outstanding representative of the world literature, a genius Azerbaijani poet and thinker.
Opening the event on the ZOOM platform, the Director General of the Institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliev, said that 2021 was declared as “Year of Nizami Ganjavi” in the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the known order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic prepared a plan of events for “Year of Nizami Ganjavi” and ordered ANAS to hold conferences and informational seminars on this issue. As Nizami Ganjavi is one of the rare personalities, opened new page in the annals of human artistic thought, each scientific institution and their collaborators, independently of their scientific direction, humanitarian, social or natural science, should remember this genius persona and be informed about his life and creature.
Then the invited employees of Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS – Doctors of Philosophy in Literature, Associate Professors Zahra Allahverdiyeva and Takhmina Badalova made interesting reports on ” Nizami Ganjavi`s Genealogy and life” and “Azerbaijan Atabeys in poem “Khosrow and Shirin”. The speakers noted that Nizami Ganjavi lived and created in Ganja, one of the most important cultural centers of that time, and created beautiful pearls of speech art, enriched the history of philosophical, social and artistic art. In their words, studying his family tree shows that although Nizami Ganjavi wrote in Persian and Arabic, he was a real Turk`s son, a Turkish poet and emphasized this moment in his works. According to the speakers, a lot of work has been done in our country, including by Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature of ANAS on the study and popularization of the great poet’s work, prepared a scientific-critical text of his work, published his book in an elegant design and mass circulation. A new large-scale monograph will be prepared and published for the anniversary.
