On February 5, a ceremony was held to sign a memorandum of understanding on the joint implementation of research activities between the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives (ICA) and the Oil and Gas Institute of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the signing ceremony, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was first played and a minute of silence was observed in memory of our heroic martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov, Deputy Rector of ASOIU, welcomed the participants of the event and spoke about the importance of scientific research in higher education. Noting the expansion of existing cooperative relations between ASOIU and research institutes and the improvement of mechanisms for stimulating joint research work, he expressed confidence that the memorandums would be successful in this regard.
Ulkar Sattarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education, Director General of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives (ICA) Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, Director General of the Institute of Oil and Gas JSC Academician Fakhraddin Gadirov spoke about research universities and scientific potential of the head of the country, he also noted the importance of expanding cooperation in resolving issues arising from their decrees on higher educational institutions and potential opportunities for cooperation in this direction and expressed hope that relations would move to a new level.
A memorandum of understanding was then signed between the parties.
