An event dedicated to “July 22 – National Press Day” was held at academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Director General of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev, who made an opening speech, said that the professional holiday of journalists was approaching: “On the eve of the holiday, our goal is to hold a meeting with some representatives of the state press who provide broad information support to the scientific and organizational activities of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives, to thank them for the difficult, responsible and honorable professional activity and to become closely acquainted with the research institution.”
V. Farzaliyev gave brief information about the main directions of scientific activity, the scientific results achieved and the future prospects of the institute he heads, and also stated that the role of the press in promptly and comprehensively conveying this important information to the public in journalistic language is great.
He noted that all the media with which the institute cooperates always convey to the people the truth about the current state of science in Azerbaijan, while maintaining objectivity and impartiality and contribute to the formation of correct opinions and ideas about Azerbaijani science and scientists in society.
The academician noted that the state seal is a decisive factor in broadly and clearly communicating to the scientific community the important comprehensive scientific achievement of the institute, which has been awarded the highest state prize.
The Director General noted that the team of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives will continue its strategic and effective activities aimed at increasing the economic development and defense power of the country, and that in this area, great importance will be attached to cooperation with the entire press of the country.
Congratulating representatives of the media of our country on their professional holiday, the executive director of the institute, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Afsun Sujayev noted that our country has enough real writer-journalists and emphasized the importance of paying attention to their hard work by everyone, from civil servants to ordinary citizens.
He emphasized that the Institute of Chemistry of Additives worked closely with state media and said that the journalists invited to the meeting played an invaluable role in representing and promoting the institute.
Expressing gratitude to the management and staff of the institute for the invitation to the meeting, the editor of the department of the newspaper “Azerbaijan muallimi” Oruj Mustafayev, the correspondent of the newspaper “Khalg” Punhan Efendiyev and the correspondent of the State News Agency “AzerTAJ” Sevda Jafarova expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with scientific institutes, and from now on scientific information will be popular. They stated that they will continue their activities in the direction of bringing scientific information to the public in a popular language and popularizing science.
At the end, representatives of the press were presented with Certificate of Gratitude for their close cooperation with the institute.
