On November 25, 2025, an educational seminar on “Informal Employment, Its Harm, and Ways to Combat It” was held at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was jointly organized by the First Territorial Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), the Free Trade Union Organization (FTO), and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists.
According to the information provided by the Public Relations Department, Elkhan Isakov, Chairman of the FTO, opened the event with an opening speech. He emphasized the importance of the event and noted that informal employment deprived people of a stable income, social protection, and future rights. To prevent such negative situations, it is necessary to formalize labor relations and register entrepreneurial and other activities.
The head of the institute’s laboratory, Associate Professor Vali Kazimov, PhD in Chemistry, spoke on the topic “Informal Employment, Its Harm, and Ways to Combat It,” providing additional information on the negative consequences of informal employment and emphasizing the importance of strengthening employers’ efforts to prevent informal employment. Participants were also provided with detailed information on vacation and rest rights.
