On December 31, an event devoted to December 31 – the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis was held at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the director general of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev the celebration of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis as a holiday at the highest level became a significant event in the history of public opinion of our people: “The Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis, which is a dear holiday for each of us, was established by our national leader Heydar Aliyev to create the unity of our compatriots living on different continents of the world. The manifestation of solidarity by everyone who considers Azerbaijan their historical homeland evokes a feeling of pride. National leader Heydar Aliyev, constantly focusing on the solidarity of Azerbaijanis of the world, the process of their organization, demonstrated his foresight and ability to unite peoples around himself.
In one of his addresses to our compatriots living in foreign countries, on the occasion of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis on December 31, our national leader said: “The celebration of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis as a state holiday has already become a pleasant tradition as a natural result of the national liberation struggle of our people. The Day of Solidarity, reflecting the revival, progress and national unity of the Azerbaijani people, which has an ancient and rich history, and mobilizing them for the sacred and responsible struggle for independent statehood, is a moment of confidence and hope for every Azerbaijani. Currently, millions of our compatriots live, work and act in different countries of the world. Despite this, for their national and spiritual existence there is only one living state. This is an independent, sovereign Republic of Azerbaijan. The basis of the idea of unity and solidarity of the Azerbaijanis of the world is precisely respect for Azerbaijani statehood, language, religion, national-spiritual existence and universal human values of our people, concern for their constant protection and survival.”
V.Farzaliyev noted that the establishment of the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis also created an opportunity to expand political-economic, scientific and cultural ties between our compatriots living in different countries. The Director General noted that people of science and scientists must work together and make serious efforts for the further development of science in our country.
The Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute, Gunay Mustafayeva, made an interesting report dedicated to the “Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis”.
