A festive event dedicated to “November 8 – Victory Day” was held at Academician A.Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event began with the performance of the national anthem and a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs.
Director General of the Institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, who delivered an opening speech at the event, noted: “November 8 – Victory Day – is a great historical moment for the Azerbaijani people in the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020 and lasted 44 days for the liberation of our occupied lands from the enemy. This is the day of the liberation of the city of Shusha, which has great and symbolic significance. The military victories of Azerbaijan, especially the liberation of Shusha from enemy occupation, played a decisive role in the fate of the war. We are proud to be victorious citizens of the victorious country. This glorious history will be a source of pride not only for us, but also for future generations.”
Then a young specialist of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute Majdi Nargis made a report dedicated to the 44-day Patriotic War – Victory Day. The scientists of the Institute shared their opinions on the historical significance of this day and conveyed their wishes and recommendations to the younger generation.
