Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan conducts fundamental research in the fields of establishing the scientific basis for synthesizing various functional additives that improve the performance properties of lubricants, fuels, and specialty fluids, developing and preparing production technologies, creating high-quality lubricants and specialty fluids for various purposes, identifying new sources of raw materials for their production and the efficient use of existing ones, as well as synthesizing and studying physiologically active substances.
Kamala Mammadova, a researcher in the Public Relations Department of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives, stated this in an interview with AZERTAC. She noted that, along with fundamental research conducted at the institute, applied research also occupied a special place.
“The results of scientific research conducted by the institute’s scientists this year have been reflected in a large number of published articles and patents. Among the patents received are two secret patents that could have significant practical significance. These patents are “All-Season Motor Oil for Diesel Engines of Specialized Equipment” and “Motor Oil for High-Performance Diesel Engines of Ground-Based Equipment,” developed by the institute’s leading scientists – Academician Vagif Farzaliev, Professors Afsun Sujayev, and Hagigat Javadova.
As every year, this year the institute’s scientists are leading in the republic in the number of patents received,” Kamala Mamedova emphasized.
