Reports on the scientific and organizational activities of laboratories and departments in 2024 were heard at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives

Reporting meetings were held on the results of scientific and organizational activities of laboratories and departments operating at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2024.

As the Director General of the Institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, said, this year, dedicated to the International Conference “COP29” and the “Green World Solidarity Year”, which would be held on November 11-22, was a year that wiould also be remembered for certain achievements in the scientific activities of our institute: “These successes cover such areas as achieving fundamental and applied important results, publishing these results in journals with a high impact factor of the Q1-Q4 classification, archived in prestigious international databases, further expansion of international cooperation, training highly qualified personnel, integration of science and education, popularization of science, as well as encouraging and involving young people in science, etc.”

Then the heads of the laboratories made presentations according to the work plan for 2024 and the priority areas of the departments and laboratories they headed, spoke about specific scientific research conducted during the reporting period, the results obtained, published in various articles, patents, conference materials, provided relevant information on the training of highly qualified personnel, gave their proposals and recommendations on priority issues, problems and their solutions.

The executive director of the institute, professor Afsun Sujayev, scientific secretary PhD Mehpara Safarova, professor Hagigat Javadova, professor Parvin Mammadova and Dr.Sc. Elmira Nagiyeva and others exchanged views on the issues discussed.

Summarizing the reports, academician V.Farzaliyev considered the work done acceptable, but noted the need for full mobilization of the existing potential of the laboratories and material and technical base facilities in order to further improve the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the work carried out. He noted that in the new year it would be especially important to pay attention to further increasing the effectiveness of scientific activity at the institute, connecting the country to joint fundamental and applied research at the international level, ensuring the application of their results in socio-economic and other areas, the correct use of scientific personnel, and gave the necessary recommendations.
