As part of the “Green World Solidarity Year”, the Institute of Chemistry of Additives held a youth competition “Best Scientific Report”

Today, at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, there were heard reports submitted to the “Best Scientific Report” competition, announced among young scientists, doctoral students, dissertation and master’s students within the framework of the “Green World Solidarity Year”.
The executive director of the institute, Professor Afsun Sujayev, informing about the importance of the competition held among young people, said that reports related to the results of research conducted by our youth in the field of environmental improvement and problem solving, in particular, cleaning up oil-contaminated areas, regenerating waste oils, processing acidic tar and other areas were dedicated to the “Green World Solidarity Year”. These competitions help prepare young people as scientists and help them grow as a worthy layer in society.”
According to him, these competitions have been held for almost 10 years and have become a tradition.
It should be noted that when selecting candidates, criteria such as the relevance of the topic, the scientific nature and practicality of the results obtained, the level of response to the speaker’s questions and published scientific works related to the topic are taken as a basis.
In accordance with the terms of the scientific competition, members of the Expert Commission heard reports prepared by candidates on the topics of research work in order to evaluate them. Each candidate was given 10-15 minutes. During the presentation, 7 scientific reports were heard and questions were answered. There was a wide exchange of ideas about each other’s interesting reports.
For information, we note that the winners of the competition will be announced at the end of May. The winners will be awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
