Leading researcher of the Laboratory of Physiologically Active Organic Compounds of Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of MSEAR, Ph.D. Babayev Sabir Sahib oglu was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.
S.Babayev has long been conducting research in the field of synthesis of various sulfur compounds, their research as additives against wear and scuffing. For this purpose, three-membered (thiirans) and four-membered (thietane) cyclic compounds containing sulfur were synthesized.
It should be noted that in 2022, the monograph “Chemistry of Thiiranes” was published, co-authored by the General Director of the Institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev and the leading researcher, Ph.D. in Chemistry Sabir Babayev.
