15 out of 32 scientific articles published in 6 months of the current year are in prestigious foreign journals with an impact factor. Due to its level of development, Azerbaijani science has become an integral part of the science system of the globalized world. Serious reforms in the field of science are being carried out in Azerbaijan today. In order to develop this area, our scientists have achieved important scientific results in both fundamental and applied fields at academician A.Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The activity of the institute staff for 6 months of 2023 was satisfactory.
According to the information provided by the head of the laboratory for predicting scientific work in the field of patent research, innovation and organic chemistry, Ph.D. Minakhanum Musayeva, during this period, the staff of the Institute were presented at 19 conferences with articles and abstracts. 9 of these conferences were held in the republic and 10 abroad, 50 abstracts were presented at the conference (39 abstracts for republican conferences, 11 abstracts abroad).
In the reporting period of 2022, these indicators were made up of 104 abstracts and articles at 14 conferences, 8 of them were held in the republic (97 abstracts), and 6 – abroad (7 abstracts).
This year, 23 (5 republican, 18 foreign journals) and 9 articles (7 republican, 2 foreign materials of conferences) of the institute employees have been published in various scientific journals – a total of 32 articles. The number of articles published in journals with impact factor was 15 (RSCI 5, Web Of Science 10).
Considering that for the comparable period of 2022, 16 articles (in 4 republican and 12 foreign journals) by scientists and specialists of the ICA were published, 13 of them (4 RSCI, 9 Web Of Science) in journals with an impact factor, then to improve scientometric indicators this year, we can say that practical steps have been taken in this direction.
In the reporting period of the current year, an increase in the number of references to scientific articles was also recorded. Thus, the number of references this year was 174, and in the first half of 2022, the number of references to articles by the Institute’s employees was 160.
M.Musayeva noted that during the reporting period, 10 application documents for inventions were sent to the Center for the Examination of Patents and Trademarks of the ICA, 3 positive decisions were received for the publication of inventions and 7 patents. In 2022, this indicator consisted of 11 documents for an invention application sent to the Center for Examination of Patents and Trademarks, 7 positive decisions for the publication of an invention, and 1 patent.
