On September 12, 2023, Scientific Council has held its expanded meeting at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
First of all, Nusrat Aliyev, PHD, Associate Professor and the leading researcher of the “Fuel compositions” laboratory of the institute, and Fikret Mammadov, the doctor of chemical sciences, professor and chief researcher of the “Inhibitors of Corrosion” laboratory, were awarded Certificate of Honor and cash prizes on the occasion of their 85th anniversary.
The director general of the institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliev, who conveyed the congratulations of the team of the institute to both anniversaries, noted that both Nusrat and Fikret Muallim worked a lot in the scientific and public activities of this research institution. He informed that Fikret mualim conducted fundamental and applied research for a long time in the direction of creating corrosion inhibitors suitable for the activities of the laboratory headed by him, and Nusrat mualim created environmentally safe, high-quality additives and fuel compositions based on biodiesel and contributed to the training of personnel.
Further, professor Agigat Javadova, professor Parvin Mammadova, academic secretary of the institute, chief scientific officer Mehpara Safarova, chairman of the Trade Union Organization Elkhan Isakov, leading scientific officer Mziya Mirzoyeva conveyed their congratulations and wishes for the anniversary.
Later, giving information about other issues on the agenda, the director general of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliev, said that an elegantly designed monograph by the executive director of the institute, Ph.D., Assoc.Professor Afsun Sujayev “New generation inhibitors of some pathological processes of living organisms”.
The book is intended for graduate students, doctoral students and other scientific workers who conduct deep scientific research in the field of organic chemistry, fine organic synthesis, bioorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry in universities and research institutes. At the same time, he confirmed that Afsun Sujayev meets all the requirements for receiving the academic title of professor, he is worthy of receiving the academic title of professor, and his candidacy was nominated by voting.
Finally, there were approved title of Suleimanly Natigi Rahim’s dissertation – “Insleding the process of catalytic oxidation of D-glucose to sorbitol and glucan acid”, supervisors – Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor A.R.Sujayev and Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry, Associate Professor Yu.A. Abdullayev.
