On September 27, 2023, a meeting of the Technical Committee for Standardization AZSTAND/TK 34 “Additives, lubricating oils, lubricants and special liquids”, created by the public legal entity “Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization”,at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives (ICA)of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in video format. At the event, organized on the ZOOM platform, a minute’s silence was observed, first of all, in honor of the blessed memory of our martyrs who heroically died in the 44-day Patriotic War and the anti-terrorist operation.
The Chairman of the said committee, Director Generalof the Institute, academician Vagif Farzaliev made an opening speech and said that the purpose of this meeting of the Technical Committee called AZSTAND/TK 34 was to review current standards, make some additions and changes, discuss translated standards prepared by the Technical Committee, and their acceptance.
V.Farzaliyev emphasized that the agenda of the meeting included only 11 issues: “Mainly this is the development of amendment No.2 to 9 state standards, which, according to the Action Plan for 2022, must undergo periodic verification once a year, issues related to authentic translation of the state standard AZS GOST 12417-2023 “Petroleum products – Method for determination of sulfated ash” from Russian and an authentic translation of the state standard AZS ISO 11158:2023 “Lubricating oils, industrial oils and related products (class L) – family H (hydraulic systems) – HH, HL, HM, HV and HG “Technical conditions by category” from English.
Representatives of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Azerbaijan Republic, the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Azerbaijan Republic, Mamedaliev Institute of Petrochemical Processes, H.Aliyev Oil Refinery, Pilot Industrial Plant LLC and Tekhnoil LLC took part in the discussions, expressed their opinions and suggestions.
As a result, the standard and technical conditions were adopted with changes.
