Executive Director of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS was a guest speaker of “Knowledge Conversations” at Bartin University

A regular seminar “Discussions on knowledge”, organized at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Bartin was held. The moderator of the seminar was the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Rizvan Imamoglu.
Addressing the opening speech at the seminar, conducted on the platform Zoom, the dean of the faculty of natural sciences, prof.Bulent Karakash spoke about the current level of scientific cooperation of the profile departments of the University with the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS and long-term plans.
Then the Executive Director of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives, Dr. Afsun Sujayev, Associate Professor, made a report on “Synthesis, research and application of active organic compounds of different purposes.” Firstly he informed the participants about the main directions of scientific activity of the institute, fundamental and applied achievements and international cooperation. Then he spoke about the international research conducted jointly with the Ataturk, Middle East Technical, Istanbul Technical and Bartin Universities of Turkey, as well as the leading scientific centers of America, Portugal, Italy, Russia and Belarus, about the important results obtained in the framework of these studies and published in prestigious in magazines.
A. Sujayev also told about the steps taken to expand cooperation with Turkish scientific centers, including the University of Bartin. He noted that in the near future he will be on a business trip to Bartin University within the framework of the grant project financed by Science Development Foundation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “Synthesis, chemical modification, molecular docking, active research, computer research of biologically active substances more effective against pathological conditions”.The memorandum of coopeation is expected  to be signed.
The speaker answered the questions of the seminar participants and exchanged views.
