The Wiley journal “Chemistry Select” publishes the results of a joint international study conducted by a group of leading scientists from Baku Engineering University, the Institute of Chemistry of Additives and Baku State University, along with colleagues from Pakistan, on the synthesis, X-ray diffraction analysis, supramolecular properties, and computational chemistry studies of new aromatic azo compounds (https://chemistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/slct.202503571).
According to the information, this article uses single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis to study the crystal structure of aromatic azo compounds obtained from tert-butylbenzaldehyde. Diffraction analysis revealed that substitution in the aromatic ring affects the dihedral angle between the rings, and differences are observed between the supramolecular compounds. At the same time, it was established that theoretical results obtained using the latest computational chemistry capabilities are consistent with experimental results.
For your information, we would also like to report that, according to Journal Citation Reports, Chemistry Select has an impact factor of 2.0.
