Two scientific articles by scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan – co-authored by Doctor of Chemical Sciences A.Sujayev, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry N.Novotorjina, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry G.Gahramanova and others “Synthesis of extreme pressure additives based on toluenesulfochloride and methyl -, allyl xanthogenates” (PhD in Chem. E.Nagiyeva, Prof. A.Kazimzadeh and others. ” Medium alkaline alkylphenol additives”, 2023, No. 1, pp. 42-45) were published in the scientific and technical journal “World of Oil Products”(Мир Нефтепродуктов) of Russia.
The first article is devoted to the synthesis of new substances as additives to gear oils, which is an urgent problem today. The authors synthesized p-toluenesulfomethyl and allyl xanthates unknown in the literature and investigated them as extreme pressure additives.
The second article is devoted to the results of studies on the synthesis of weakly alkaline alkylphenol additives (these are calcium salts of the condensation products of alkylphenols with formaldehyde and ammonia or various amines – monoethanol-, benzyl- and allylamines).
