Students of the 13th Republican Competition “Scientists of Tomorrow” took part in the final of scientific projects completed at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to information provided by the executive director of the institute, a project completed by 10th grade students of the World School Aslanov Said Fuad oglu and Allahvediyev Ibrahim Nizami oglu on the topic “New generation of enzyme-isoenzyme inhibitors against Alzheimer’s disease” under the scientific supervision of Professor Afsun Sujayev in the laboratory “ Physiologically active organic compounds” was awarded 1st place – the gold medal of the competition. These students will represent our country at ISEF, the International Science and Technology Fair, organized by the Society for Science in the United States.
A.Sujayev reported that a scientific project carried out by students of the 11th grade of secondary school No.6 of Baku, Kazimova Elmira Mirali kyzy and Mustafazadeh Aisu Jabar kyzy, on the topic “Cleaning up oil-contaminated soils and reservoirs using the biophytoremediation method” under the scientific supervision of researchers Konul Kahramanova and Aygun Almammadova were awarded 3rd place – a bronze medal.
For your information, according to experts, out of 652 projects submitted by students to the XIII Republican competition “Scientists of Tomorrow”, winning projects were selected, and 113 projects made it to the final stage.
