A group of master students in the specialty “Oil and Gas Business” of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Affairs of the Kazakh National Research University, who were involved in teaching and industrial practice at the Department of Petrochemistry and Chemical Technology of the Baku State University (BSU), visited academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The executive director of the institute, doctor of chemical sciences Afsun Sujayev met with the guests and first of all informed them about the history of the establishment of this research institution, activities, achievements, as well as about the outstanding chemists of Azerbaijan who worked in this scientific institution. Kazakh master students were told about the branch of the Department of Petrochemistry and Chemical Technology of the Baku State University at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives – the Basic Department “Additives, Lubricants, Oils and Cutting Fluids”, as well as about the joint activities implemented with the university in the direction of integrating science and education.
Then the master students visited the laboratories “Analysis and physical and chemical research of organic compounds and compositions”, “Lubricant compositions”, “Protective organic compounds”, “Polymer compounds for various purposes” and other laboratories where scientific research was carried out, they became closely acquainted with the principles of modern physical-chemical devices and carefully observed some experiments.
