Samsung The Wall series has a new member, and it’s even bigger than the 146-inch TV that was introduced last year. Called The Wall Luxury, the TV comes with the latest version of Samsung’s modular MicroLED screen that can be “custom-tailored to any size and aspect ratio.” It starts from 73 inches for the 2K model and goes up to a staggering 292 inches to offer an 8K resolution. to give you some perspective that’s over 24 feet in the diagonal. The television is touted to enhance the interior of the living space and ensure customers can experience superior picture quality in the comfort of their own homes.
The Wall Luxury also boasts a bezel-less Infinity design, depth of only 30mm, and customisable décor frames to blend the TV seamlessly into its surroundings. Samsung claims that the unit will be accompanied by a Quantum Processor Flex, which uses AI upscaling and machine learning to optimise picture quality scene-by-scene regardless of the original source format.
Apart from this, the TV features a Quantum HDR technology that is said to peak its brightness level to 2,000 nits, support 120Hz video refresh rate that would make it ideal for gaming or watching sports. To complement the display’s visuals, “Samsung has partnered with home entertainment and automation providers, including Harman Luxury Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf for audio solutions; Control4, Crestron and Savant for home automation solutions; and Domotz; Ihiji and OrvC for remote monitoring capabilities,” the company said in its blog.
The Wall Luxury TV will be available globally starting in July 2019. Samsung hasn’t announced the price yet, but keep no doubt in mind that the TV is going to be anything but ‘super’ expensive.
