American pharmacist Suzy Cohen revealed a list of unusual signs of vitamin D deficiency.
The doctor indicated that with a deficiency of this vitamin, acne, cardiac arrhythmia, high blood pressure, tearfulness, fatigue, irritable bowel, bloating, dry keratoconjunctivitis, body pain, muscle weakness, decreased cognitive functions, neuropathy, macular degeneration, exacerbation of autoimmune diseases appear, wheezing, allergies, lichen planus. The physician encouraged patients to talk about their symptoms in as much detail as possible when seeking help from doctors.
Other signs of vitamin D deficiency were noted by the doctor as high blood sugar, frequent skin rashes, urinary problems, dandruff, and bouts of sadness. Cohen recommended consuming more vitamin D-rich foods and taking vitamin supplements after consulting a doctor.
Earlier, a group of scientists from leading universities in Ireland proposed including vitamin D in the list of effective remedies for the prevention of coronavirus. According to them, daily intake of vitamin D can significantly reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus, protect from a severe course of the disease, as well as death.
