On July 01, 2020, an online defense of the final diploma works of 4-year undergraduate students of the Faculty of Chemistry of Baku State University (BSU) took place. At a meeting of the Specialized Defense Council chaired by the Director of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, the participants were informed about the agenda and topics of the thesis.
At the meeting, 15 undergraduate students of the Azerbaijani, Russian and English divisions, specializing in “Chemistry” and “Chemical Engineering” presented their research works. Young people talked about the relevance of their research, scientific innovation, the results obtained and answered questions.
Chairman of the Commission, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Professor Abdulsaid Azizov, Head of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Academician Abel Maharramov, Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Professor Teymur Ilyasli, Head of the Department of Petrochemistry, Professor Ibrahim Mammadov, Deputy Dean of the Department Fuad Karimli, Professor of the Department of Organic Chemistry Namik Shikhaliyev asked questions, expressed their opinions and wishes.
At the end, as a result of voting, theses were evaluated according to the relevant criteria, and it was decided to award graduates a bachelor’s degree.
