A group of the 4th-year students on the specialty “Chemical Engineering” of the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) will have an internship in the specialized laboratories of academician A. Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives (ICA) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 3 months. In this regard, on February 16, 2023, a meeting with the students was held at the institute. At the meeting, the Executive Director of the ICA, DSc(Chem), Assoc.Prof. Afsun Sujayev gave extensive information about the history of the Institute, directions of scientific activity, important achievements, international cooperation relations and training of highly qualified personnel.
He informed the students about the laboratories of the institute and said that during the three-month period of practice, students would get acquainted with the principles of operation of instruments and equipment, modern methods of physical and chemical analysis, and also closely monitor some experiments. At the same time, students will listen to seminar reports on the important results of scientific research carried out and achieved by the Institute’s staff in priority areas in the field of fine organic synthesis and chemistry of additives.
At the end, diplomas and certificates will be awarded to students selected for their activities.
