Academician A.Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted an event dedicated to February 2 – Youth Day.

Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, Director General of the Institute said that this significant historical day is associated with the name of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, who always treated young people with great attention and care, attached particular importance to the measures taken to solve their problems and who assessed this policy as one one of the most important areas of activity of the modern independent Azerbaijan. According to the Decree signed on February 2, 1997 on his initiative, February 2 was declared the Youth Day of Azerbaijan.

Vagif Farzaliyev noted that the state takes care of our youth and provides assistance in all areas for their development. One of them is the “State Program for the Education of Azerbaijani Youth Abroad for 2007-2015”, which has created ample opportunities for training young people from all population groups abroad. As part of this program, thousands of young people study at the most prestigious educational institutions in the world. In addition, senior representatives of the Institute do not spare all their help to solve the problems of the younger generation.

An interesting presentation dedicated to February 2 – Youth Day was made by the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute Gunay Ismayilova.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Chemistry Afsun Sujayev told about the time when he was the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, and stressed that today’s youth are more active due to the rapid development of science and technology in modern times.

A. Sujayev said that in the 44-day Patriotic War, our youth was at the forefront, showing determination and courage. He congratulated all young people on this day and encouraged them to be more active.

Then Nusrat Aliyev, one of the Institute’s senior researchers, spoke his heartfelt words and gave young people his valuable advice.

At the end, Vagif Farzaliyev said: “It can be said with full confidence that all the necessary measures taken to solve the problems of the young generation in our country, to ensure their participation as a worthy class in the society will lead the youth of Azerbaijan to a brighter future.”

He awarded the most active employees among young scientists and specialists of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives Gunay Ismayilova, Hajar Behbudova and Leyla Israfilova certificates.
