At the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS there was conducted a scientific seminar on “Innovation in the application of drug therapy in the treatment of malignant tumors.”
Opening the event, Deputy Director for Research of the Institute, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Afsun Sujayev informed the participants about the agenda of the seminar.
Then the report by Ulduz Jafarova, the scientific worker of the institute was heard. She noted that a serious problem of oncological diseases in the world of health is associated with an increase in mortality in its dynamics, which spreads from year to year. U.Jafarova spoke in detail about the most common forms of malignant tumors in the world and the main causes of death, risk factors playing a role in their formation, measures of prevention, recommended guidelines. U.Jafarova explained the recommended methods of treatment as standard and, most importantly, as the choice of treatment depending on the organ, stage, distribution and general condition of the patient.
She informed the participants of the seminar about scientific researches conducted by leading scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of ANAS in the framework of joint international research on the creation of potential drugs – synthetic antioxidants and inhibitors of enzyme-isoenzymes.
Then an extensive discussion of the report was held.
