Attestation of doctoral students and dissertators was held at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives

Today, a regular meeting of the Academic Council of Academician A.Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Azerbaijan Republic was held. The Director General of the Institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, first of all, informed about the issues on the agenda.
Next, certification for doctoral students and dissertators of full-time and part-time courses for the preparation of doctors of science and philosophy, studying and engaged in scientific research in the specialties “Organic Chemistry” and “Petrochemistry” was carried out.
 According to the director general of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev, one of the main functions of each research institution is the training of highly qualified personnel – doctors of science and philosophy. Therefore, every scientific specialist who continues his scientific work in doctoral and dissertation studies, performing his scientific work at a high level and receiving an appropriate academic degree, improves the scientific performance of the scientific institution where he studies or works, and generally contributes to the development of the country and society. That is why scientific supervisors must take responsibility for choosing dissertation topics and forming doctoral students and dissertation candidates as high-level scientists and scientific specialists of the future, taking into account the modern challenges of world science and the multidisciplinary nature of scientific activity.
At the certification, a brief summary of the scientific work completed by each doctoral student and dissertator in 2023 was heard, their participation in conferences, published scientific works were discussed, questions were answered, and suggestions and recommendations of members of the Attestation Commission were also heard.
By the decision of the Attestation Commission, doctoral students were recommended to continue their studies in the next academic year, since the work provided for in individual work plans has been completed in full.
