A reporting and election meeting of the Trade Union Organization for 2017-2023 was held at academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Arif Efendi, a member of the United Trade Union of Scientific Organizations of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, took part in the meeting.
The event, which began with the performance of the national anthem, was opened by the chairman of the meeting, senior researcher Nusrat Aliyev, who informed about the issues on the agenda.
Then the chairman of the institute’s Trade Union Organization, Elkhan Isakov, gave detailed information about the funds spent, formed on the basis of deductions from employees’ salaries during the reporting period. Thus, the funds were spent on the purchase of sports equipment for the effective implementation of employee recreation in their free time, material assistance in connection with treatment, food assistance allocated to employees in connection with the holidays, tickets for the Novruz and New Year holidays, as well as tickets to theaters, to the YASHAT Foundation as part of the program to support the Second Karabakh War, humanitarian assistance provided to victims of the earthquake that occurred in Turkey in 2023.
Further he spoke about events dedicated to important memorial dates of the republic, anniversaries and national holidays, which are annually held by various public organizations operating at the institute with the support of the Trade Union organization.
Then the director general of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev, said that the team positively evaluates the activities of the chairman of the trade union organization, Elkhan Isakov, in 2017-2023 and considers it satisfactory.
Speaking at the meeting, the scientific secretary of the institute, Ph.D. Mehpara Safarova and a member of the United Trade Union of Scientific Organizations of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Arif Efendi, shared their opinions and made suggestions.
As a result, by voting, Elkhan Isakov was re-elected as chairman of the trade union of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives. At the meeting, new members of the trade union committee of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives, an audit commission were also elected, and also representatives to the conference of the United Trade Union of Scientific Organizations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Azerbaijan were elected.
