Since this year, a number of innovations in the organization of industrial practice of students have been implemented at Academician A.Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Thus, fourth-year students of the Chemistry Department of Baku State University (BSU), who had industrial experience in the relevant laboratories of the institute, were involved in academic scientific research. The goal is to further encourage talented students interested in science.
Under the scientific supervision of leading scientists of the institute, students conduct fundamental and practical research on specific topics in individual laboratories, the important results obtained at present are patented and joint articles are prepared. Student interns prepare presentations on research conducted in their laboratories and participate in conferences.
One of such students, Farid Ismayilli, a fourth-year student of the Chemistry Department of BSU, took part in the conference “Chemistry and Chemical Technology” for doctoral students, master’s students and young scientists dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, which was held at Baku State University on May 22-23, 2024. He took part in the III Republican Scientific Conference and made a broad presentation on the topic “P-phenolsulfoisopropylxanthate as an antioxidant additive” at the section meeting.
His speech was met with great interest.
