In connection with the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev “On declaring 2024 as Green World Solidarity Year in the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated December 25, 2023, it is planned to hold a series of events at Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education.
The executive director of the institute, doctor of chemical sciences, professor Afsun Sujayev said that every year the institute traditionally held the competition “Best scientific report” in order to further encourage young scientists and specialists. This year’s competition is devoted to the Green World Solidarity Year: “Reports of our youth on the results of their research in the field of environmental improvement and problem solving, in particular, on the cleaning of oil-contaminated territories, the regeneration of waste oils, the processing of acid tar and other areas will be listened to. Selected young scientists will be awarded with diplomas and a cash prize.”
A.Sujayev noted that at the same time in June, as part of the Green World Solidarity Year, together with the universities of Turkey, where the institute implemented joint international research, an international online scientific seminar of young scientists and specialists entitled “Green chemistry – an important direction of fundamental and applied chemistry» would be held.
