According to the decision of the Higher Certification Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 8, 2023, the executive director of academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Afsun Sujayev was awarded the academic title of professor in the field of chemical sciences in specialty 2306.01-Organic chemistry. The diploma was presented to him by the chairman of the commission, Professor Famil Mustafayev, at the meeting of the Presidium of the HCC on December 22, 2023.
For information, in 2008 A.Sujayev was awarded the Ph.D. in Chemistry with specialization in “Organic Chemistry”, in 2018 – Doctor of Chemical Sciences, and in 2017 he gained the academic title of Associate Professor.
Since 2005, he has worked as a junior researcher, researcher, senior researcher, leading researcher, head of the laboratory “Theoretical foundations of synthesis and mechanism of action of additives” and executive director of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives. Since 2021, he has been serving as executive director.
On March 5, 2021, at the VII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party, he was elected a member of the NAP board of directors.
In general 150 scientific works were published, including 2 monographs, 8 patents of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 80 articles, the rest were conference materials and theses. According to global networks of scientific information, 60 scientific papers in the field of research were included in various international electronic systems and by scientists around the world 1572 times. His H-index is 22.
