Chemists have created a new generation of metabolic enzyme inhibitors

112
As a result of international joint research conducted by scientists from the Institute of Chemistry of Additives and the Institute of Polymer Materials of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan with their Turkish colleagues, a new generation of metabolic enzymes inhibitors were obtained. Thus, the inhibitory activity of the synthesized new compounds in relation to some metabolic enzymes was studied and compared with standard medicinal substances.
The report states that the new inhibitors, the biological effectiveness of which was clarified by molecular docking modeling, confirmed superior performance compared to acarbose as a standard compound of metalloenzymes and can be used as potential drug against pathological processes in the body. The results of the study, carried out in detail by our scientists, have been published as an article in the journal “ChemistrySelect” (https://doi.org/10.1002/slct.202300286).
