Old Facebook design will be completely shut down in September

Facebook has announced the final transition to the updated interface introduced in 2019. Starting next month, it will be impossible to switch from the new version of the social network to the classic one.

The massive redesign – the largest in 15 years of Facebook’s existence – was unveiled by CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the F8 Conference last May. At the top, they removed the blue “header”, increased the font size, turned on a dark theme, and the interface itself was performed in lighter colors, with more free space. The service logo is now inscribed in a blue circle, instead of a blue square, as before.

The new Facebook look was first included in iOS and Android apps, and since May of this year it has been used on computers. Nevertheless, users were assigned the ability to switch to the old version at any time.

As Engadget reports with reference to the Facebook help desk, in September the new version of the social network will remain the only one, Vesti.ru reports.
