The always-on Bluetooth module carries risks for the security of the gadget. This was warned by Alexander Timofeev, associate professor of the Department of Informatics of Plekhanov REU, Prime reports.
According to him, attackers are able to hack a smartphone via a wireless connection using special equipment and gain access to the gadget and data stored in its memory. To protect himself from this threat, he recommended disabling Bluetooth immediately after using it, Lenta.ru reports.
