On October 21, 2021, the first meeting of the Technical Committee for Standardization “Additives, lubricating oils, greases and special liquids”, created by the public legal entity “Azerbaijan Institute of Standards” was held.
At the event, organized on the ZOOM platform, the chairman of the committee, the director of the institute, academician Vagif Farzaliev congratulated the members of the committee and wished them success in their work. He said that the purpose of the creation of the technical committee AZSTAND/TK 34 is the development of standards for “additives, lubricating oils, greases and special liquids”, produced in Azerbaijan, at the same level as the equivalent. The academician reported that the main areas of activity of the Technical Committee are the development program of standardization and the annual plan of work, as well as draft standards, development of existing standards, preparation of changes in standards, standards, regulations, standards, etc. use of standards prepared by the Technical Committee, analysis and implementation of effective use, preparation of catalogs on the topic and organization of their publication.
Vagif Farzaliev emphasized that the Technical Committee includes representatives of 10 organizations engaged in research, production and application in this area in the country. “Currently, 9 state standards included in the approved Action Plan for 2021 are being checked,” he said. Representatives of academician A.Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan State University of Petroleum Oil and Industry, academician Yu.Mammadaliyev Institute of Petrochemical Processes of ANAS, “Аzerenerji” PC, H.Aliyev ORP, LLC “Experimental-industrial plant” and LLC “Technoil”. The meeting included acquaintance with members of the Technical Committee, a discussion of the activities of the Committee and the steps that need to be taken, as well as a vote on the admission of new members.
