The scientific project of the Mingachevir schoolgirl, carried out at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS, was awarded a silver medal at the international youth competition


On December 25, 2020 in Izmir, Turkey, an online ceremony of awarding the winners of the BUCA IMSEF International Science Competition was held. Raya Hasanli, a student of the Mingachevir secondary school No16, who participated in this international competition of scientific projects and reached the final stage among 74 projects from 24 countries of the world and 90 projects from 27 cities in Turkey was awarded a silver medal.

It should be noted that she completed her project “From Waste to Miracle” at acad.A.Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS. Her scientific supervisors were the deputy director for scientific work of the institute, doctor of chemical sciences, associate professor Afsun Sujayev, researcher Mirali Isakov and the director of S.Vurgun secondary school №16 Sevinj Hasanov. The essence of the project was to create a technology for the production of medicinal almond oil from bitter almonds.
