The Azerbaijan Science Foundation (AEF) has started monitoring the current state of scientific instruments, laboratory equipment purchased by the foundation within the framework of grant projects and transferred for use in research institutes in 2011-2018. For this purpose, on February 27, 2023, the Fund’s specialists visited Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, the Director General of the Institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, said that instruments and equipment purchased under various grant projects of a fundamental, applied and scientific-innovative nature, funded by the AEF, played a big role in updating the instrumentation fleet of the institution he headed: “Fundamental scientific results obtained during this period were published in prestigious journals of the world, and applied results were realized in production of strategic products that served the economic growth and strengthening of the defense power of our country.
After that, the specialists examined the devices and laboratory equipment registered in each laboratory and made notes on their current condition. The Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Chemistry Afsun Sujaev spoke about the devices, their operation principles and rules of use.
