A regular meeting of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Academician Ali Guliyev Institute of Chemistry of Additives of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) was held today.
Director General of the Institute, Academician Vagif Farzaliyev, speaking at the meeting, said that according to Article 9-1.2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Youth Policy”, members of youth organizations had to terminate their membership from the moment they reached 35 years of age. Taking this into account, the Presidium of ANAS considered it necessary to form Councils of young scientists and specialists created in scientific institutions and organizations of the Academy in accordance with paragraph 9-1.2 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On youth policy”. The Council of Young Scientists and Specialists was instructed to provide information on the composition of the newly formed local councils to the Scientific-Organizational Department of the Presidium of ANAS.
Then the chairman of the Council, Ph.D. in Chem. Sabiya Osmanova made a presentation. She spoke in detail about the work done by the Council in 2021 and the measures taken. Then she said that the young members of the current Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute had reached the age of 35 and a new Council had to be elected.
At the end of the event, a new composition of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the ICA of 11 members was elected by open vote. According to the unanimous opinion of the members of the Management Board, junior researcher of the institute Gunay Ismayilova was elected chairman, and doctoral students Lala Aliyeva and Lamia Kazimzade were vice-chairmen.
