The Institute of Chemistry of Additives of MSEAR has suffered a heavy loss. At the 69th year of his life, Nabiyev Oruj Garib oglu, Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry, head of the laboratory “Analysis and physical and chemical studies of organic compounds and compositions” of the Institute of Chemistry of Additives, died.
Nabiyev Oruj Garib oglu was born on May 20, 1955 in the village of Agmammadli, Marneuli region, Georgian SSR. In 1972 he graduated from Agmammadli village secondary school. In 1973, he entered the Faculty of Chemistry of the Azerbaijan State University named after S.M.Kirov and graduated with honors in 1981. He began working as a laboratory assistant at the Institute of Petrochemical Processes of ANAS. Later he worked as a laboratory assistant at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives (ICA). In 1981, he worked as an engineer at the ICA and was accepted into graduate school the same year. In 1986 he defended his thesis and was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Chemical Sciences. From 1984 to 2010 he worked as an engineer, researcher and senior researcher at the ICA, and since 2014 as a leading researcher. In 2015, he received the academic title of Associate Professor. Since 2022, he has worked as the head of the laboratory “Analysis and physical and chemical studies of organic compounds and compositions.”
The bright memory of Oruj Nabiyev, a kind and generous man, will always live in the hearts of those who knew him, and every employee of the ICA, with whom a long period of his life was associated.
