The 29th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide was marked at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS

An online event dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy, organized jointly by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, the Free Trade Union and the territorial organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, was held at the Institute of Chemistry of Additives of ANAS. At the event, held through ZOOM, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy.
Deputy Director of the Institute for Science, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Afsun Sujayev noted that the 29th anniversary of the genocide coincides with the liberation of the territories after 44 days of the Second Karabakh War under the leadership of the Sоupreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, ensuring the territorial integrity and, eventually, revenge for the death of our innocent citizens who died in Khojaly: “Our next goal will be to erect a monument to the victims of the genocide in the city of Khojaly, where this crime was committed, and to bring the truth about this bloody event to the world.”
Chairman of the Free Trade Union of the Institute, Associate Professor Elkhan Isakov and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, Ph.D. Sabiya Osmanova made  presentations. They stated that despite the fact that 29 years have passed since the bloody tragedy committed by Armenian vandals and executioners in the twentieth century, one should never forget the pain and suffering of the Khojaly Genocide. It is the civic duty of every person, including all intellectuals, regardless of their specialization and profession, to remember this tragedy and convey the historical truth to the world scientific community, and each of us must fulfil our mission with dignity.
